Frosty Nights

Sunrise: 7:35 AM
Sunset: 4:27 PM

If there's one thing I love, it's hoarfrost. It was 27 degrees on my window thermometer at 6:30 AM. After my morning coffee I tiptoed outside in my bathrobe and bedroom slippers. The ground actually 'crunched' underfoot.

Sure enough, my birdbath was frozen solid!

My poor fava beans are taking a beating. Hardy as they are, they go limp in when frozen. But they do bounce back in the daytime.

Yesterday, I caught these two squirrels (through a screened window) when shooting the upright fava beans.

I came across this hole in my lawn when searching for hoarfrost subjects. Was it the squirrels?
